This demonstration is FREE and open to the public. Come learn about the art of wood-turning\, and the various techniques used on a lathe to produce bowls\, table lamps\, candle holders\, and the like.   On display will be examples of Roger’s work at various stages of production along with finished products using a variety of locally-harvested hardwoods.  His laminated creations of contrasting color and texture are especially attractive. \nAbout Roger Authers\nRoger first learned to work with a lathe as a teenager in his native England.  Since moving to Charlottesville in 2004 he has honed his skills and enjoys the challenge of creating items both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
