Highland, in partnership with the 25th Annual Virginia Festival of the Book, will host Brook Poston, author of James Monroe: A Republican Champion, on Wednesday, March 20 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Poston, in conversation with Highland executive director Sara Bon-Harper, will present his new biography, offering new interpretations of James Monroe and how he attempted to craft a legacy for himself as a champion of American republicanism. This event is free and open to the public.
